I have been a psychotherapist since 1994. Before moving to West Texas in 1997, we lived in Austin, Texas where I saw clients in private practice, at Waterloo Counseling Center and at The Samaritan Center for Counseling and Pastoral Care. I continued my work at the Samaritan Counseling Center of West Texas, Inc. in Midland, Texas from 1997 until 2001. From 2001 until 2007, I served as the Behavioral Medicine faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center of the Permian Basin. During this time I also maintained a large general psychotherapy practice in both Midland and Odessa. In addiion, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I returned to Austin, Texas in September, 2007 to establish a psychotherapy and life coach practice.
As a registered nurse with certification in obstetrics, I worked as a childbirth-parent educator, nurse educator and consultant for maternal-child health and medical care delivery systems before changing career focus to counseling and coaching.
I have extensive speaking and consulting experience with medical care providers, private sector businesses, mental health agencies and in-patient treatment programs, women’s groups, clergy and church groups.
