Electronic Toolbox for Physicians in Academic Medicine
This toolbox is designed to help physician educators decide whether to offer a small group education and training experience to undergraduate students and medical residents. The toolbox includes brief resource materials for leading small groups, including how to effectively use films in your teaching.
This is an extensive list of films arranged by topic that can be used to teach both behavioral medicine and psychology/psychiatry.
Over 100 topics are included that range from child/adolescent medicine, physical illness, mental illness, and relationships. In addition, topics for professional development encompass issues like professionalism, the medical marrige, stress in practice, and the patient-physician relationship.
This resource coordinates with Films for Teaching Behavioral Medicine and Psychology.
This excel document lists films alphabetically, along with release date, length and a list of topics for which the film may be used in teaching.
If you would like to schedule a brief presentation, workshop, or training session for your group or organization, also contact me by telephone at
